If you are anxious dealing with attorneys, fearful of the legal process, or concerned that your attorney will either 1) never return your calls; or 2) charge you an arm and a leg for every call – then you will be pleasantly surprised to meet Andrea Jakob.
Simply put, Andrea has chosen to dedicate her legal career to help people like her own family. She wants to make sure that her clients are treated with respect, professionalism and empathy that every person deserves.
Although practicing law since 1992, handling estate matters and probate since 2002, she was determined to move into the Estate Planning and Elder Law fields following a family tragedy. Her own experiences led her to see each client from a different perspective.
Her goal is to take the fear out of the Estate Planning, Elder Law or Probate Process.
Originally from Baltimore, Maryland with her degree in business from Boston University and her JD Law Degree from University of Miami, she has a great variety of practical experiences. Initially a member of the Maryland Bar Association (1992), She practiced in Baltimore prior to giving up cold winters.
She opened Andrea L. Jakob, PA in 2007 and In a community-related capacity, she has taught at both the college level as an adjunct professor, as an instructor of Realtors, and enjoys giving presentations to various groups and can often be seen speaking at the Broward County Library.
On a personal note, she has been married over twenty-five years and has raised two wonderful daughters.
Erika A. Garay is an Attorney at JakobLegal and Andrea L. Jakob, P.A.
She is head of our Probate Division and a wonderful Estate Planning Attorney!
Erika is a Miami native and attended Florida International University where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Criminal Justice and a minor in Psychology. She received her Juris Doctor Degree from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad College of Law in 2017.
While in Law school Erika was the Greenbook Editor for the ILSA Journal of International & Comparative Law.
Prior to joining the firm, she held a position where she handled her own caseload and litigated each matter through all phases of litigation and trial.
Erika is fluent in Spanish, and a member in good standing of the Florida Bar.
On a personal note, I have a Pomeranian named Bella, I love doing puzzles and spending time with my family.

Hi, I am the Office Manager. I’m the first face you’ll see when you visit our office.
I play a role in the preparation of your signing appointment and in the preparation of your Estate Planning Binder. After your signing, you can expect to hear from me, letting you know that your documents are ready to be brought home!
On a personal note, I’m a Native Floridian, and I have spent most of my life living in Florida. Also, I’m currently attending the Phyllis & Harvey Sandler School of Social Work at Florida Atlantic University.
Hi, I am the first person you may speak to when you call the office. I will schedule your initial consultation with Andrea or Erika and begin preparing your file. I’ll also give you a call to remind you of your upcoming appointment and answer any questions you may have.
A little bit about me: I am currently in Law School at Nova Southeastern. I have a bachelor’s degree in Law and Society, with a minor in Psychology, from Thomas Jefferson University + Philadelphia University and I am hoping to pursue my master’s degree in Political Science soon. I was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA and a couple of weeks after my college graduation my twin sister and I decided to pack up all our things and move to South Florida!
Some fun facts: Aside from being a twin, I am a proud pet mom to my miniature poodle Milo and my aquatic turtle Bubbles.

Bruce F. Iden has been practicing in the area of estate planning law for
over 30 years.. After receiving his B.A.in Psychology from the University
of Michigan in 1977 , Mr. Iden earned his law degree (J.D.) in 1981 from
George Washington University. He continued his legal education at the
University of Miami School of Law where in 1982 he received a Masters of
Law degree (L.L.M.) in taxation. He has consistently received the highest
rating available (AV) from the nationally recognized Martindale-Hubbell Law
Directory.
I was born and raised in Florida, I'm currently attending Penn Foster's veterinary program. I am a proud pet mom to my westie Molly and my green cheek conures Mango & Mojito. I've been an animal lover my entire life. Some fun facts about me: I'm fluent in Spanish, I enjoy watching scary movies and spending time with my family.
