Yasmeen Sarsour, Esq.

Please meet Yasmeen Sarsour, an associate attorney at JakobLegal and Andrea L. Jakob, P.A., where she collaborates with lead counsel in estate planning and probate matters.

Born and raised in South Florida, Yasmeen earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology, with a double minor in Biology and Interdisciplinary Studies, from Florida International University in 2018. While pursuing her undergraduate studies, Yasmeen volunteered as a research assistant at the FIU Legal Psychology Department, which inspired her to seek a career in law. Yasmeen then earned her Juris Doctor Degree from Florida International University College of Law in 2021.

While in law school, Yasmeen dedicated her summers to assisting those in the local community with navigating their familial troubles. Working pro bono at the Children’s Legal Services at the Florida Department of Children and Families, Yasmeen aided in the emergency removal and shelter of children from households demonstrating signs of abuse, neglect, or abandonment.

Before joining our team, Yasmeen worked as a family law attorney, helping countless families maneuver through the stressful periods in their marital lives. Her dedication to easing the divorce process and bringing immediate relief to the families of South Florida is one of several impacts she has left in the tri-county area.

In addition to maintaining an active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar, Yasmeen is a private K-12 tutor, specializing in mathematics and college test prep. Yasmeen enjoys dedicating her time to developing academic improvement plans for students displaying a wide variety of learning disabilities.
