Melany J. Danielson, Esq.
Born in Venezuela and raised in South Florida, Melany earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Zoology from the University of Florida in 2014. Wanting to live abroad and experience new cultures, Melany joined the Peace Corps in Cambodia as a Community Health Volunteer from 2015 to 2017. However, Melany decided to stay in Cambodia until 2018 as a Peace Corps Volunteer Leader training incoming volunteers to prepare to live and work in their host villages.
Upon returning to South Florida, Melany decided to pursue a career in law, in which she could serve her local community. Melany earned her Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Miami School of Law in 2023. During her legal studies, Melany sought to gain experience in various legal fields including criminal law, family law, disability law, and environmental law. Melany enjoyed being part of the Inter-American Law Review, in which she published an article that investigated the efficacy of proposed COVID-19 legislation to shut down wildlife markets around the world. Melany also spent a year advocating for foster kids and their expressed interests in the Children and Youth law clinic at UM.
Before joining the team, Melany worked as a maritime law attorney. However, her passion for helping individuals and families brought her to the field of estate planning and probate. Further, prior to studying law, Melany joined her parents' accounting firm, which inspired an interest in business law.
Melany enjoys playing soccer and being outdoors. Having recently lost her childhood cat and dog, Angel and Nucita, Melany welcomes any chance to share pet stories with clients. During an animal law course in law school, the ability to provide pets with care through a pet trust piqued her interest. Melany hopes to continue to bridge her love for animals with her legal career.
With Melany Danielson on our team, clients can be assured that they will have a devoted and compassionate attorney on their side that will listen and work toward client goals.
