If you are anxious dealing with attorneys, fearful of the legal process, or concerned that your attorney will either 1) never return your calls; or 2) charge you an arm and a leg for every call – then you will be pleasantly surprised to meet Andrea Jakob.
Simply put, Andrea has chosen to dedicate her legal career to help people like her own family. She wants to make sure that her clients are treated with respect, professionalism and empathy that every person deserves. Her goal is to take the fear out of the Estate Planning, Elder Law or Probate Process.
Andrea Jakob is an attorney that listens, takes time to get to know each client personally and takes her client’s best interests at heart. Although she has been practicing law since 1992, and handling estate matters and probate since 2002, she was determined to move into the Estate Planning and Elder Law fields following a family tragedy. Her own experiences led her to see each client from a different perspective. Originally from Baltimore, Maryland with her Bachelor’s in Business from Boston University and her Law Degree from University of Miami, she has a great variety of practical experiences. Initially a member of the Maryland Bar Association (1992), She practiced in Baltimore prior to giving up on the cold winters.
She opened Andrea L. Jakob, PA in 2007 and has been practicing in the areas of Wills, Trust and Estates, Elder Law, Business Law, Probate, Personal Injury, and PIP. In a community-related capacity, she has taught at both the college level as an adjunct professor at Miami-Dade College and at City College and as an instructor of Realtors, is an amateur photographer and spends quality time as a volunteer at schools and other local organizations.
On a personal note, she has been married over twenty years and has raised two wonderful daughters.
Our firm is nothing without our team. Our teamwork is what enables our clients to be thrilled with the work we provide. Always conscientious, we still like to have fun and I think the feeling is contagious.
Leave with a smile and sleep well tonight!
Our Office Manager
I am the Office Manager/Administrative Assistant. I’m the first face you’ll see when you visit our office. I’ll welcome you with a smile behind my mask and a thermometer! I’m a native Floridian, and I’m attending school locally, pursuing a degree in social work. I play a role in the preparation of your signing appointment and in the preparation of your Estate Planning Binder. After your signing, you can expect to hear from me to let you know that your documents are ready to be brought home!
She will welcome you with a smile (and during Covid- a thermometer!)
Our Client Care Coordinator
I am the Client Care Coordinator; I will be your first point of contact when you contact our office. My role is to work with you on getting a consultation scheduled and start preparing your file before your first appointment or any questions/concerns you may have through the process of working with us.
September of 2020, I graduated with my AA in Paralegal studies from Keiser University. I am now working on my bachelor’s in criminal justice from Florida International University. I have big drams to attend law school when I graduate and become an attorney myself someday. When I am not working or studying, I intern for a Criminal Defense law firm.
I am also a mom to a little boy named Jaxson. He keeps me on my toes, and we have a blast together! You can normally find us playing water guns in our backyard, digging in the sand at the beach, or just hanging out around the pool. I am a family girl, so we spend a lot of time around my family.
Fun Facts about me:
· I have a cosmetology license.
· I am a former corrections officer.
· When I was in Middle school, I took part of Teen Court where I was a prosecutor attorney.
· I have a German Shepard named Shadow.
